  • Develops and implements automated manufacturing processes
  • Develop, implement and participate in safety programs to ensure automation and/or any robotic systems meet or exceed Masonite or regulatory requirements for safety systems.
  • Develop, implement and participate in quality programs to ensure automation and/or any robotic systems meet or exceed customer expectations through built in quality and/or inspection where needed.
  • Perform various types of electro/mechanical work such as: operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing processes, and other production related equipment.
  • Troubleshoots, edits, and programs PLC Control Systems – high engagement with Allen Bradley
  • Provide technical support and the ability to train the plant's maintenance and production employees.

Support from an Automation/Robotics Engineer based within the Residential Engineering Group could include:

  • Interior Door Assembly Systems
  • Material Handling Automation (load/unload systems, component handling, etc.)
  • Layup Projection Systems
  • Productivity measurement tool implementation
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science with at least 10 years of experience in the field of manufacturing automation and/or manufacturing robotics
  • Travel will be required up to 75% of the time
  • Extensive experience programming control systems, electrical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance in a high-speed, high volume, lean automation environment.
  • Ability to read, program and troubleshoot PLC ladder logic or other PLC based machine codes to resolve complex problems and/or optimize machine performance.
  • Must have indefinite legal authority to work in U.S. EEO.
