Responsibilities

Channel Marketing Manager - Retail works in conjunction with the Director of Retail Channel Marketing, Sales, Account Management, and Marketing business teams to develop, implement, and manage leading market strategies and initiatives aimed at maximizing Masonite’s penetration in the North American Residential Retail Channel.

Responsibilities

  • Works with Retail Channel Marketing Director to analyze, develop and execute long term & innovative retail channel strategies
  • Partners with Account Management teams in preparing for product line reviews, annual Marketing reviews and other major customer presentations
  • Aligns Retail Channel Merchandising strategy with annual display budgets
  • Implements creative promotion strategies to drive sell through at key retail partners 
  • Organizes all channel specific communication in conjunction with other cross functional marketing departments within Masonite including brand, marketing and product management (campaigns, announcements, direct mail, etc. - working w/ Masonite Sales Team and Product Managers)
  • Facilitates the development and execution of creative selling strategies with the Retail field selling team 
  • Collaborates with Digital Marketing, Ecommerce, and IT teams to drive forward looking digital strategies and solutions for the retail category
  • Promotes Masonite’s selling tools: presentations, competitive comparisons, samples, displays, product kits, promotions
  • Works with product marketing  to gather, research & incorporate VOC in all marketing activities
  • Leverages new product launches through implementation of communication plan, merchandising, POP, and sales training   

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Clearly articulate project scope and objectives, meeting deadlines, time management, contingency planning, approval channels, and procedures, budgeting, and tracking/monitoring success
  • Customer service orientation, complete customer focus, driven to meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Able to interpret and disseminate information
  • Ability to develop systems to track and manage various data requirements, able to prepare prescribed reports, complete/detailed analysis, determine effectiveness of sales and marketing campaigns
  • Must be Windows PC computer and internet literate; possess advanced word processing, database and spreadsheet skills with the following applications: MS Office Suite, Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Access preferred
  • Ability to change courses and tasks based on the changing needs of the business
  • Ability to build technical/market/business aptitude: product literacy and key points of differentiation, knows our target markets and what motivates buying decisions, overall understanding of our business, marketing materials and industry jargon
  • Detail-oriented, thorough, strong follow through, sense of urgency
  • Ability to work effectively and cross-functionally with various departments throughout the company
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree Major in Marketing / Business Administration or related field required              
  • Marketing experience with key big box retailers preferred- Home Depot or Lowes
  • Substantial sales and marketing experience in building product, hard goods or consumer goods industry
  • Willing to travel up to 25%
  • Travel will include all of the US and Canada
