Job Description

The Maintenance Electronics Technician provides controls and electrical troubleshooting support for Maintenance and Production. This role provides technical support for Maintenance Engineers on projects as needed.

  • Comply with and maintain all EHS required programs including mandatory training in programs such as confined space, LOTO and hot work.
  • Documentation of all work that is performed and routine inspection checks daily/ weekly/ monthly.
  • Ability to perform all PM work on a daily basis.
  • Ability to troubleshoot both mechanically and electrically a variety of plant equipment.
  • Ability to assemble, install and adjust parts used in machinery and plant equipment.
  • Ability to use fully a variety of hand tools necessary to repair equipment.
  • Ability to fabricate/weld parts required to overhaul and maintain equipment.
  • Ability to use and understand both metric and imperial measurement systems.
  • Ability to use a variety of maintenance machines including welders, grinders, drill presses, etc.
  • Ability to install bearings and all types of specialty seals.
  • Must have the ability to be able to read tape measure, micrometers, calipers and other instruments of measurements.
  • Must learn and be able to calibrate confined space monitor and use monitor as necessary.
  • Participate in the plant emergency response program by assuming additional responsibilities in the event of a plant evacuation.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.


  • Must be able to supervise the maintenance department of 5+ EE’s on 3 shifts.  Manage a variety of tasks from Prevention (TPM), repair, rebuilds, projects, and all PM and safety checks along with minimizing equipment downtime.

  • Two (2) year technical degree or 2 year min. experience in electrical, mechanical, industrial / manufacturing setting. 
  • Must be proficient in Windows based programs. (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point).
  • Must have proficiency in reading diagrams, blueprints and schematics. AutoCad is helpful.
  • Must become forklift certified/ trained through Masonite. Training in and or be certified for LOTO/ Confined space/ Fall protection and any other requirements per Masonite.
  • Two (2) years prior experience working with and repairing machinery such as CNC machines, PLC boards and other technologically advanced equipment helpful

  • Must have the ability to lift 75l
  • Extensive and repetitive use of hands
  • Moderate amount of stooping, bending, crawling and kneeling.
  • Will work in dirty and dusty environments
  • Required to wear additional PPE to perform various maintenance functions.
