This team member is a champion for the development and improvement of products and processes throughout the Architectural division of plants. This team member seeks good process data and leads continuous improvement initiatives based on that data. They must become a center of knowledge on our products and processes to all functions of the organization. They must continue our drive to develop systems that ensure our products meet specifications, both internal and from our customers.
Reporting Relationship: This position will report to the Masonite Architectural - Director of Engineering.

Process Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates process improvement events with plant operations teams in alignment with the Architectural Operational Efficiency objectives 
  • Orchestrates process validation exercises 
  • Experience with PPAP a plus, or ability to learn 
  • Provides data analysis and technical support to manufacturing and quality functions
  • Supports development of SOPs 
  • Works with equipment suppliers, Quality Managers, and other division technical staff to stabilize and control manufacturing processes
  • Initiates and leads Continuous Improvement projects

Product Engineer Responsibilities: 

  • Manages product data within Dynamics AX including BOMs for new products or variations, non-standard BOM substitutions, and non-standard process routing
  • Acts as product data guardian, ensuring all change management processes are followed
  • Works with Innovation teams for product capability studies and new product design.
  • Liaison between Divisional Engineering, Configurator, Operations, and Innovation teams
  • Supports Finance and GBS costing exercises.
  • Assists Order Writing and Sales departments as a resource for non-standard product knowledge

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience in a Process/Manufacturing Engineering position or equivalent experience with Products and Processes in a manufacturing environment
