Responsibilities

The Regional Human Resource Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the activities, associated programs, and functions in support of corporate goals and objectives for our US Residential facilities. This will be accomplished by an individual who is a dynamic team player possessing a flexible mindset, adaptable skill set, ability to lead from a distance, high-level communication style, and a natural developer of others. A love of travel and ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-level, multi-site plant operation highly preferred.  Must support the regional leadership team while embedding a strategic approach to human resource development and management producing a more effective front-line delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Builds and fosters ongoing relationships to effectively partner with the business and key stakeholders to coach and influence business decisions
  • Participates as an integral member of each facilities management team, providing advice, coaching and leadership on all matters involving human resource matters
  • Anticipates HR issues as a result of long-range business strategies and partnering with senior managers to create proactive solutions to keep up with evolving changes
  • Initiates and manages the consistent implementation of various initiatives in support of our HR strategic plan involving recruitment and staffing, driving individual and team performance management, organization design, employee and labor relations, leadership development, and corporate responsibility (core values, code of conduct, employment laws)
  • Performs risk assessments and preventative strategies to reduce the organizations exposure to legal and other employment risks
  • Maintains high visibility at all locations in order to promote HR programs and assist management with effective line communication
  • Acts as a resource person in the interpretation of employment law, legal contracts and policies relating to all aspects of human resource management
  • Manages all HR reporting required and HR Scorecard; insure consistency with operational/financial reporting; match headcount actual against budget and manage overages
  • Manages workforce reductions, restructures, changes and communication channels
  • Directs the establishment and maintenance of appropriate personnel and employee relations systems, records and reports
  • Coordinates with corporate functions to insure programs are consistent and application is in accordance with established policies and comply with provincial law and regulations
  • Represents the company on matters pertaining to its relationship with its employees, management and community projects
  • Work closely with Payroll & Benefits to ensure compliance with all payroll and benefits related issues

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to manage HR strategy, leadership and organizational development, contracts, negotiations, and change
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret business documents, technical procedures, accounting reports and governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
  • Gallup Q12, Survey Monkey, Typeform survey tool understanding
  • Basic operations knowledge in manufacturing setting
  • Requires knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts. (Lean Sigma, Six Sigma)
  • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through issues that may be complex, difficult and emotional
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resource Management or related field required, Masters preferred
  • SPHR and PHR designation is preferred
  • 7-10 years management overseeing HR in Plant manufacturing industry
  • Must be willing to travel up to 60-70% of the time
  • Must live in the Tampa Bay area and work in our Tampa Headquarters
