Under general supervision from the Supply Chain Manager, performs supervisory, technicaland administrative duties in the materials procurement shipping and warehousing operations.

  • Supervises one or more distribution team, (pulling, shipping & receiving) assists in hiring, training, evaluation, and disciplining employees.
  • Ensure timely material flow within the facility as well as timely delivery in receiving material from other locations as well as preparation for shipment of parts to other facilities.
  • Oversee inventory management and control, accuracy, and established inventory guidelines and procedures.
  • Plans, organizes, and implements inventory operations and procedures; supervises
  • Reviews daily inventory activity; maintains accurate inventory master files, manufacturer and catalog numbers, minimums and material descriptions.
  • Provides follow-up assistance in assuring maximum scheduled performance
  • Maintains stocking, staging, and loading functions to Masonite specification
  • Maintains department records and keeps management informed of developments as occurred
  • Implements safety and good housekeeping standards per Masonite policies & procedures
  • Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments
  • Facilitate Lean and Kaizen process improvement opportunities throughout shipping and receiving areas of the plant
  • Maintains harmony among the workers and resolves grievances.
  • Adjusts errors and complaints and applies company policies and procedures
  • Schedules loads in system and assists with routing of loads
  • Updates changes in shipping systems, updates shipping log spreadsheet daily, file shipping documents,
  • Direct interaction with customer.
  • Provides support to Customer Service, (order inquiries, expedites, etc.)
  • Operate forklift as necessary.
  • Associates degree (AA) preferred in Business or High School diploma and 3-5 years' experience handling procurement, purchasing, and inventory, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous Supervisor or Team-Leader experience in a similar work environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience and understanding of shipping and receiving within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures as they relate to material flow.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop effective teams without direct control
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems
  • Ability to Speak Spanish a plus
  • Ability to operate various lifting equipment (i.e. fork-lift, hand jack, toe motor, etc.)  Must be able to pass forklift certification on Masonite Learning Management System “LMS”.
  • Ability to multi-task & handle task with competing priorities
  • Proficient with Excel, Outlook & Word
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent time management & organizational skills with an attention to detail
  • Read/interpret schedules
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral) with attention to detail
