Job Description

Our vision is to be the best provider of building products in the eyes of our customers, employees, shareholders, suppliers and communities.

At Masonite, we understand that people are key. We are a composite of diverse people who come together by showing support and respect to one another.

We hire people that demonstrate integrity under pressure. Integrity is at the foundation of everything we do. It is in each door we make, in our commitment delivery and in our honest and sincere communication.

Our employees are flexible, versatile and resilient. Our ability to weather any storm, to bend without breaking, is what allows us to hear the knock and open the door with confidence, no matter what's on the other side.

At Masonite, we hold the door open for each other and for new ideas. We want everyone to freely contribute ideas and add value, so we are positive and encouraging. This collaborative environment is what makes Masonite a transparent, fair company- one that doesn't hide behind closed doors.

We continuously strive to improve both our products and our customers' experiences. This drive leads us to revolutionize the door industry and help people walk through walls.

Are you an experienced supervisor with the ability to provide hands on guidance in the manufacturing field? If so, you’re what Masonite needs!

At Masonite, we believe every door is a connection, and we’ve been building better ones for more than 80 years. Still we continue to evolve. Today we’re meeting new market demands, and applying research with the latest technologies to accelerate innovation and expand our offerings.

This position is a great opportunity to come in at the ground level during the launch of our Lean Operating System, with highlighted ability to gain Lean Six Sigma Belts/Certifications.  This position will be involved in the launch of the Mvantage, Lean Operating System (Masonite's Revolutionary 4 Tier Lean Shop Floor Plan). Working with other shift supervisors and plant managers to leverage lean tools and maintain measurable safety, quality, cost reduction, and productivity goals and objectives.

You will supervise logistic activities and delegate work assignments to ensure all key performance indicators (KPIs) are identified, structured and addressed.  Use production boards to keep employees enlightened and informed of the department performance against standards, working with them to correct deficiencies.

Part of your job will be to administer plant rules and other policies and procedures in a fair and equitable manner.  Facilitate Gemba walks out on the plant floor, monitoring machine center performance to ensure optimum efficiencies, a practice used by Lean Leaders, and participate in Tier II meetings with senior leadership using appropriate decision making tools gaining approval before implementing decisions or changes.

Previous leadership experience in a team-based Lean Manufacturing environment with the ability to communicate and resolve conflict for personnel and contractural issues applying accuracy and thoroughness is highly preferred.

Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management or related field is highly preferred, however it is not required for consideration.

A high level of personal integrity (self-esteem, confidence, honesty, and respect) are necessary qualities for selection and success to jump into our existing infrastructure (Purchasing, HR, IT, Maximo/Oracle and Labor Agreement) without skipping a beat.

Masonite is changing the manner in which we go to market in wholesale each and every day. This position will have a very significant role in getting us there. A chance to make a big mark on the way we do business and to get exposure and recognition for it. There is so much upside and opportunity for growth within Masonite as a result, and the strategies that this individual will be driving are second to none in the importance of our operations.
