This position is the Senior Operations Leader for the Global Components Business and is a member of both the Operations Leadership Team (OLT) and the Global Components Leadership Team (CLT).  This position has direct responsibility for all plants within the Global Components Business Unit in addition to all capital projects, manufacturing engineering projects, EHS, quality and materials management within these plants.  This position has responsibility for driving performance within the factories and for setting and hitting targets within our KPI’s of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity.  This position also is accountable for overall network capacity including network footprint optimization and for setting the strategy for the operations team within the business division.  This position will be responsible for all interplant processes, configuration standardization, interplant process optimization, order aggregation processes, coordinating with sales and product management to drive efficiency and value creation in cost to serve with customers, coordinating major projects with Continuous Improvement (CI) group, co-developing digital manufacturing tools, optimizing distribution costs and working with central supply chain to optimize inventory control processes.

  • Responsibility for Health, Safety and Welfare of employees, ensure appropriate policies and procedures are in place and adhered to regarding H&S on each site.
  • Coordinates activities of manufacturing to enhance operational effectiveness, using sales forecast, capacity planning and internal metrics
  • Implementation of ‘lean’ / CI culture and best practice across operations. Ensure ownership of the Lean transformation by the operations team.
  • Define and drive strategic direction of operations within the Residential Business Unit.
  • Establish and maintain the strategic and tactical planning vision for the Plants within the Division including the production scheduling process and development of the master production schedule. Develop best in class Plant MRP process to meet customer expectations at the most efficient cost to the business.
  • Continuously monitors status of Capital projects and quality throughout the business and responds accordingly driving completion on time, on budget.
  • Responsible for setting and meeting targets within the SQDIP KPI’s of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity.
  • Assess, define and plan footprint and manufacturing optimization across all Interior and Entry plants.
  • Develop leading talent within the operations team and improve overall bench strength of the operations team.
  • Upgrade facilities to be leading edge in technology utilization.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business MBA preferred
  • 10+ years manufacturing in lead role.
  • High integrity, self-driven, accountable, results oriented, driven to succeed. Strong work ethics, teamwork, partnership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Adept at handle various issues simultaneously. Strong prioritization, planning, reporting, time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data from various systems to get to opportunity/root cause.
  • Skillful in dealing with all levels of customers, both internal and external. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Change management leader: anticipates reactions of people to change in systems and business plans and plans accordingly. Recognizes own/teams reactions to change process; identifies early successes to maintain momentum; implements communication plan. Leads the functional team through the deployment of the ERP solution.
  • Deep knowledge of lean manufacturing systems. Successful experience in Lean Sigma, Six Sigma, and Project Management.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access & MS Project.
